Courses, Workshops and Firings 
I offer one-to-one and small-group workshops covering wheel throwing, glaze development, and the practicalities of setting up a small pottery workshop.

The studio has two pottery wheels, so for groups of more than two, participants will need to take turns at the wheel.

Costs:
One-to-one instruction: 500 kr/hour
Independent studio time: 100 kr/person/hour

Independent studio time means you work on your own, with me nearby if you need occasional help or advice.

For example, if we work together one-to-one for one hour and you then continue independently for another two hours, the total cost would be 700 kr + clay.

For small-group workshops, instruction is 500 kr/hour for the group, plus 100 kr/person/hour for independent studio time.

Clay Costs
Stoneware clay costs 80 kr/kg, including glaze and firings.

A good amount to start with is around 500 g of clay per piece, which works out at approximately 40 kr per piece.

The Studio
The workshop is equipped with:
2 electric pottery wheels
Electric kiln
Large workbench
Glaze materials, scales and sieves
Clay extruder
A wide selection of pottery and hand-building tools
And, importantly, an espresso machine.

There is also a small refrigerator and microwave, so you are welcome to bring something to eat if you are staying for a longer session.

What to Bring
Patience! Learning to throw takes time – and patience is part of the process.
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting messy and that are easy to wash. A work apron is also a good idea.
It's best to keep fingernails short when working with clay, and long hair should be tied back.

Firing Service

Already making pottery and just need somewhere to fire your work? I can help with that too.
Bisque firing (980°C): 10 kr/litre
Glaze firing (1220°C): 15 kr/litre

Firings are done when there is enough work to fill the kiln – usually around once a month. Because of this, I can't guarantee firing dates far in advance.

Important: I need to know that your clay is suitable for the firing temperatures above. Please bring the label from your clay bag, or a photo of it, showing the recommended firing temperature range.

Please also clearly mark each piece with your name or initials so that it can be identified after firing.
