Jeff Kaller is a ceramic artist based in Dals Långed, Western Sweden. His work is driven by an exploratory approach to material transformation, delving into the potential and limitations of ceramic to embody play, thoughts and ideas. Drawing inspiration from a range of folk ceramics, the storied history of porcelain itself, and the often-brutal and often elegant matter of fact-ness of early 20th through mid-century industrial design and architecture, Jeff finds intrigue in the tension created when these influences intersect. His current work explores utility though what are mostly objects for the table that are intended to be integrated into life, including cups, bowls, pitchers, and vases.
In 2023, together with fellow artist Tina Reuterberg, Jeff purchased a historic country grocery store, locally known as Kalle I Boa. The space has been transformed into both a workshop and a retail space, bringing the work closer to the community.
